Greasing wheel bearings isn’t the most enjoyable way tot spend your free time. However, this messy but easy maintenance process will save you from big bills later.
Over time, grease breaks down. Heat produced by brakes speeds up the process. Since the trailer’s weight rides on the wheel bearings, keeping them well lubricated is critical for safe RVing.
If you own a camper or trailer, once a year you should perform this basic preventative maintenance of repacking wheel bearings. Here’s a photo-blog of my experience.
